Gill makes the switch

Jordan Gill adjusted to a change of format in order to win his fourth pro fight out of four on points at Peterborough on Saturday night.

The Chatteris teenager was expecting the usual four three-minute rounds against Sid Razak, but explained: “They came in five minutes before the fight and said it would be six two-minute rounds. I don’t get on with two-minute rounds, not at all.”

Despite this the local boy, spurred by a partisan crowd, won five rounds and drew one, overall the scores going 59-56 to the 18-year-old.
